One-Year Pictures

We took Isaac's one-year pictures at Public Gardens on Sunday. We figured he wouldn't change too much in the span of the five days leading up to his birthday. We were going to save them to post tomorrow (on his actual birthday), but surely we'll take some more pictures then to share - so we'll share these ones now!

Walking with Daddy. (or Dadadadadada, as Isaac says)

Eating the grass...

...Or whatever else he can get his hands on!

Contemplating something -what to eat off the ground next?

More interested in watching Josh off to the side than looking at the camera

Finally, a smile for 'Mamamamama!'

Climbing on a tree, or whatever else he can find.

So bashful looking...which is not at all Isaac!

Then and Now

July 30th 2007 was a big day - The induction began to evict Isaac from his cozy prenatal home.

Thinking back on the whole experience, it feels like it just happened and it feels like it never happened. Funny how your life can change so much that you wonder if some events even took place. Here's what Jane looked like one year ago today at 42 weeks and 1 day pregnant!

When we get home tonight, we'll post a picture of her today at 21 weeks pregnant.

Fun with Blocks

Isaac has recently started enjoying stacking blocks, knocking them over, and exclaiming "Crash!" (Well, it sounds more like 'K-ah', but we know what he means since we taught him to say it). We picked up these cool nesting cardboard blocks on the weekend, and he can't get enough of them!

Gathering the pieces together

Loving the tiniest of the blocks

Moments after the crash...

Testing to see if the biggest one fits on his head.

B minus one week

Isaac's first birthday is just a week away. Jane is dying to post about some of the projects we (well, mostly she) has been working on in preparation for the big day, but we don't want to spoil any surprises.

If you are local and didn't get the invite to the party (is there anyone that even applies to?), here are the details. It's best wishes only, and we'd love to see every and any one!

The picture posts small so it may be hard to read. Click it and see a full size image!

If you can't make out the fine print, it reads: "In lieu of party gifts, we will be collecting donations of non-perishable food items for the North End Food Bank". We'll let you know how much we collect...but goal is for the donations out-weigh Isaac! :)

Baby Logan Version 2.0

Yesterday, we got our second glimpse at the new babe. We saw a different doctor yesterday, who printed a photo for us at the end of the appointment. Here's a sneak peek of who we will all meet in December!
(Profile to the left, fist to the right)

We put the picture on the fridge when we got home, and Jane picked Isaac up to see it. She said: “This is your brother or sister.” He stared right at it like he was looking through it. Then she continued, “…the one that’s in Mama’s tummy.” He burst out laughing like it was the craziest thing he’d ever heard. We know he probably doesn’t understand half the stuff we talk to him about, but sometimes the timing and his reactions are just so perfect and funny.

Welcome!

Welcome readers, old and new, and thanks for moving over here with us! We hope to keep this blog updated as regularly and as light-heartedly as we did at the old site, as we share glimpses into the lives of our Wee Logans.
