TO 8 of 8: Solo Sam

We got to have one-on-one time with the boys because their naps were staggered. Here's a few pics of Sam while Isaac was snoozing...

Thanks for introducing us to the songs and videos at sesamestreet.org, Sam! Isaac has bopped to them a couple times already since we've gotten home. (Here's Sam, showing his favourite clips to Nan. "There's a fly in my soup!")

...And there you have it, folks! One very fun, but very fast, visit to the big city. :)

TO 7 of 8: Kings of the Castle

While Joe and Jane went to Krista and Andy's wedding, Auntie E and Nan had a great time with the boys - including some fun in the backyard. (Thanks for snapping these pics while we were out, ladies!)

TO 6 of 8: Little Baller

Isaac rolls Josh's basketball around at home, so imagine his delight when he found one small enough to carry at Sam's!

TO 5 of 8: Cooking Cousins

Sam and Isaac had a great time playing with Sam's kitchen set. Isaac loved the chef's hat and the dishwasher best, while Sam seemed to prefer the oven mitts and the stove. Sam is tall enough to reach the buttons on the microwave, and Isaac danced to the beeping sound it made. That boy finds music in everything!

With the kids' kitchen conveniently located in the big kitchen, Sam and Isaac got to help Nan bake cookies!

TO 4 of 8: Calling Pop

Sam sure noticed Pop's absence this weekend! He even tried to call him at one point.

TO 3 of 8: Adventures with Nan

Here's a little flip-book of a few moments of playtime.

Isaac, still not walking on his own, was cruising the room holding on to the furniture.

Sam was interested in being exactly where Isaac was...like the exact spot of the floor. A little pushing followed, though Isaac seemed to presume it was a form of affection and enjoyed it...

Until Sam tackled him to the ground...then Nan had to step in.
But resolutions are quick with Nan at the helm!

TO 2 of 8: Sam's Smiles over Breakfast

Isaac's cousin Sam was asleep when we arrived late Thursday night, but the boys reunited over breakfast on Friday morning.

TO 1 of 8: First Airplane Ride

This past weekend, Jane, Nan, and Isaac went to visit Uncle Joe's family in Toronto. It was Isaac's first flight, and it went off without a hitch!

Here's Isaac and Pop walking around the SJ airport before our flight. It was already 2 hours past Isaac's bedtime, but he remained in good spirits.

Droopy-eyed boy, fighting sleep almost the whole way.

Dinner Time with Isaac

Isaac has always had a big appetite, but his interest in food at dinner time has dropped significantly lately. We are chalking it up to the fact that they serve a really big meal at lunch time at his new daycare - far more than he was accustomed to having at home - so we think that is serving as his 'big' meal of the day.

That doesn't mean dinner time is tame at our house though...Check out the following clip of tonight's meal.

(The combined total of these three videos is less than 2 1/2 minutes but if you are pressed for time, just watch the last one. We watched it three times and laughed aloud each time.)

Just in case you thought that was an isolated moment, here's another clip of later in our meal...

And in case that wasn't enough, here's the end of our meal. You will understand why the meal ended here at the end of the clip.

Dancing Boy

Isaac loves to dance (or at least bop) to music. Whether we are playing a CD, hearing a commercial, or singing to him, he bounces, smiles, and claps his hands. Here's a little sample, where he is playing the music for himself with his Leapfrog Table. (We never expected he'd play with any toy this much...a good investment!)

Pat your dough!

We have home-made pizza once every two weeks or so, and for a long time Isaac has been getting a big kick out of the dough. Jane will tell him to pat his dough, and he will clap his hands or bang on whatever surface is nearby. Here's a short clip of Isaac helping Jane "pat the dough", though of course he tamed it down once Josh turned on the camera.

A Few New Photos

Remember when we posted that Isaac likes to hide-out on bottom shelves? Here's another perch he enjoys.

And just a few other random play pics since we've been blog slackers lately...

Happy Birthday Tom

We helped Isaac's Uncle Tom celebrate his 18th birthday at Nan and Pop's tonight. After dinner, Isaac was excited to hang out in his room - he's always happy to be where Tom is! Check him out, trying on Tom's hat.

Thinking back to Tom's birthday last year...this is the same baby?!

26 Weeks

Time's just flying by with this pregnancy, and Jane is now at 26 weeks. Tomorrow is her glucose challenge test (yuck!), but also a prenatal check-up and a chance to hear our baby's heart beating. This baby is incredibly active, moreso than Isaac was. We are all enjoying the anticipation of this baby. Isaac has recently started saying "bay-bay-bay" while tapping Jane's belly. (Not to be confused with the "bah-bah-bah" that accompanies his wave)

Hiding Out

Isaac has taken to hiding out in the bottom shelf of the bookcase in our livingroom. Underneath tables is another hot spot for our busy little guy...
