All Hallow's Eve Eve

The gourds are out...

..the garland is hung...
...the cupcakes are made...
...the pumpkin is carved!

We are almost set for Halloween tomorrow. We just need to get the treats out of their hiding place and into bowl at the front door. (Now, where was the 'safe place' that we stashed those?!)

Halloween Preview

The boys tried on their kangaroo costumes for a mere 3 minutes tonight so we barely snapped any photos, but we had to share this one of Simon. Hopefully we can get a few pictures of them together on Saturday - and maybe a video. You should see the little tail wiggle on Simon's bottom when he crawls. And Isaac hops around to totally play the part. Too too cute!

Strolling the New 'Hood

Heading out for a walk is SO much easier in our new neighbourhood! It's easy to get the boys ready in the house, in the stroller in the garage, and then head out. We can do a short or long loop, we can head to the store to get milk, or over to the playground for a swing. It's great! Here are a few pics of the boys on our way out yesterday.

A Word of Warning

When Josh left for work this morning, Isaac walked him to the door and said: "Bye Dad. A good day Dad. Be careful Dad."

Man, do we ever love this kid!

More From Our Family Photos

Here are a few more shots from our family pictures, mentioned here earlier in the week.

Thanks so much, Andrew!

From The Mouths of Babes...

Isaac's language has suddenly exploded. Everyone told us that this would happen, but we didn't quite expect it to be so much all at once. And he's hilarious! Here's a sampling of some things he has said in the last day or two...

Isaac: "Cheese please, Mama."

Jane: "Do you think we should have Cheddar or Mozzarella?

Isaac: "It’s all good."

"Wow! Look at the peach! Big!" (pointing to a pumpkin)

(While Josh was having a coughing fit at 6am) "Done coughing, Dad. I sleeping"

"I love Cheese. I love cheese, really Mama. Grilled cheese time! Yahoo!"

Jane (while tucking him in): "Do you think that we should thank God for everything in our day?"

Isaac: "Thing in a day, God. Thanks. Simon too. Thanks"

What a card, he is! We'll try to remember some more to share later.

Family Pic Preview

A friend of ours, Andrew Munro, took family photos for us on Monday morning. Here's a little teaser of each boy for you until we get them back from him.

We're so excited to see the rest and get a few prints for our bare walls!

Fun with Daddy

Here are a couple videos of Josh and the boys playing. Jane camped out with the camera to get a few clips of them doing their Sunday Afternoon Finest.

We get a kick out of the end of this clip, where you get to see what a little bruiser Simon seems to be.

Apparently, MLB isn't captivating for all audiences. Simon passed out this afternoon while watching the Red Sox game with Josh. He looked so sweet - we couldn't resist grabbing the camera.

We scored this little table and chairs on sale at Kent, and it works great in the boys' new playroom. Of course, we couldn't get a photo with both of them smiling, but if we photoshopped these two photos together, it would be a great one. :)

This video is about a month old, but we just found it on the computer. The first yogurt we gave Simon was all-natural unflavoured, and admittedly kind of bitter. (Jane says it's refreshing, but Josh begs to differ) Simon made the funniest squinty face when he tried it, but surprisingly kept coming back for more! Uncle Tom caught some of it on video...

Simon was out-of-sorts and grouchy today. We are chalking it up to teething...but looking at a couple of photos from the day, you'd never know it was a rough one.

Settling in

We are currently moving, lugging, pushing, and shoving just about everything that we own. Moving with two wee ones it just about as challenging as it sounds, but we are still very happy to be relocating. Here are Isaac and Simon playing on the kitchen floor while Jane organized the pantry.

We have been making a lot of trips to home improvement stores lately. Isaac especially likes Home Depot, because they have giant kid-friendly carts. They are a little tough to maneuver through the store, but luckily they seat two so we can take turns driving the boys around. (This is Jane's first attempt at uploading a photo from her cell phone, so bear with any technological glitches and the low quality.)
