Simon has the sweetest little smirk.

And check out those eyes!

Isaac, peeking in on Simon

Proud big brother!

Dinner Time Chat

Isaac is a real chatterbox these days, even if most of it can only be understood by us. Here's a little bit of his chatting at dinner time tonight.

Hungry Boy

When Josh was taking the photo of Jane and Simon from the previous post, he snapped a couple more.

We tried to take one with Jane and Simon's faces together, but he didn't look at the camera...

...and he started rooting around...
...and then latched on to Jane's cheek. Apparently, he's ready to eat!

Bath time

Isaac absolutely loves his bath. Here's our smiley boy!

And here's Jane and Simon, hanging out in the washroom while Isaac enjoyed his bath.
Don't you love Simon's little outfit? We do too. Thanks for sending it Mary and Bob! It fits him perfectly right now.

Catching up!

We've been pretty slack on getting photos and videos on here lately. Tonight is a night for catching up!

Cheek-to-Cheek

Isaac's new way to show affection is by pressing his face up against yours, or 'chee-ta-chee' as he calls it. He likes doing it to us, but he absolutely loves when we let him do it to Simon. We tried to get a picture of it this morning and though it doesn't really show you the sweetness of their two faces smooshed together, we're sharing it as a teaser. We'll be sure to try again to get a good one for you soon!

Making his approach...

"Si! Si! Chee-ta-chee!"
Both boys went to the doctor for their respective vaccinations on Thursday, and they made out very well. Isaac is up to 24Lbs and Simon is 11Lbs 2Oz. We knew Simon had grown quite a bit, but we weren't expecting a 3Lbs weight gain in his first 5 weeks.
Way to go, little dude!

We are all nursing yucky colds. No fun!

Three Lazy Logans
(coincidentally all in blue)
With all of us sharing a cold, a humidifier has been running quite a bit. Isaac loves letting it blow his hair and listening to the sound of his voice through the fan.

A Silly Game

Jane and Isaac played a silly game yesterday that had him absolutely giddy! Josh caught a little of it on camera. (Just ignore the mess on the couch - we were sorting out Isaac`s old clothes for Simon to wear)

Simon's a pretty sound sleeper and missed the whole thing, though he was right next to Josh.

Good Luck Elizabeth!

Elizabeth's wedding went off without a hitch (we'll post some photos of that when we get some of the photographer's proofs) and now she and her new hubby are off to his RCMP posting in Lytton, BC. We will miss her so much!

Because we were silly and didn't get a picture of she and the boys when we said our goodbyes, here's a photo of Isaac playing with the fridge farm toy that she gave him. It's better than a photo-free post, eh?

Isaac loves to 'dip-dip', so we are always trying to find more ways to let him dip at meal times. Lately, he enjoys dipping grilled cheese or toast in pureed veggie soups. Luckily, we love making soups in different vegetable combinations, so it's fun for us too. Here is a seriously messy boy at suppertime tonight, after grilled cheese and broccoli soup.

Why use a spoon? Just get your face right in there!

Don't you look like this after a good bowl of soup?

The Cracker Bandit

Isaac's favourite 'nack' (snack) requests are 'cheeeeese' and 'cras'. He can't open the fridge to get the cheese, but he can open the cupboard and help himself to some crackers in a snap. We have tried several cabinet locks, but none of them fit that particular cupboard properly...Murphy's law! A project for this week will have to be reorganizing some cupboards to get such apealing things out of his reach.

A Baby and a Book

Jane devoured this book for her book club over a couple of days last week. Is there anything better than a snuggly baby and a real page-turner?

Boy in Box

In stereotypical toddler style, Isaac loved this giant box as much as the play kitchen it contained.

"Gimme Gimme Gimel!"

Chanukah and Christmas overlapped this year, so Isaac and Sam (along with some help from Marla) played dreidel. Isaac had no idea that there was chocolate inside the gold coins, but somehow still had the instinct to get as many as possible!

Christmas 2008

We are slow to report back from Christmas, but we have had one busy holiday season! This post will be updated once we get photos from the rest of the family, who were all more deligent photographers than we were.

Here's Josh, late on Christmas Eve, taking care of a 'some assembly required' project with the play kitchen that Grammie and Grampy Logan gave Isaac.

Isaac loves 'guys' (aka toy people), and Auntie Erin got him this great Little People Nativity Set. He adores it!

Mid-day at Nan and Pop's, Isaac played piano for us - one of his favourite things to do at their house.

Isaac and his cousin Sam noticed that their Dads and Uncle Tom were having lots of fun with Tom's Xbox, and they wanted to get in on the action...even if the television was turned off.
